November 4, 2013

Today marks 2 months on the mission! And I begin my 4th week in the field today.
Time is absolutely flying.
I am so grateful to be here. Each day is better. I won’t lie, this mission above probably any other mission is very difficult. We walk upwards collectively of 5 hours a day. It takes us almost an hour to get to our first appointment and then the same amount of time to return home, and then on average takes half an hour to get to every other appointment. Lots of walking, but it’s amazing! Honestly though, the lessons with every investigator make every moment here worth it. The people are so amazing and my love for them grows everyday.

Raimunda, our first convert. She was baptized my first Saturday here. I can’t lay claim to her being MY converted investigator but he meet with her like 3 times a week. She’s awesome. This is her, her son Alishandra, and me.

Here are some more pictures Sister Wainwright sent to us:

These are HUGE frogs that people lay out in the street to lure the boa snakes so they can kill and eat them….
